I have finished putting together the Xmas wish-lists for Ashlyn & Alex, and it’s time to make one for myself. Every year, at least for the past 4 years, dear hubby has been buying me new digital camera for Xmas, never fails, no surprises. Well, am I complaining?? No, I’m not! So, this year, since September, he has been asking me which brand and model I like. I had no clue, until we were at Costco and picked up a “Xmas gift guilde” couple weeks ago. Besides upgrading the pixel, currently 6.0, there are new technologies that I am very excited about. I hope we will get it in time for X’mas, otherwise, it will be my New Year’s present.

I am amazed everyday what Ashlyn & Alex learn from school.

What did Ashlyn learn?
We have been sleeping over at my grandma’s house for the past 2 months, cux my aunt is out of the country on vacation for the past 2 months. We put 2 queen size beds next to each other, so that all 4 of us can sleep together. Lately, both Ashlyn & Alex want me to tuck them in and stay with them until they fall asleep. That means, I need to sleep in between them. One night, I tucked them in, and began to pad Alex on his back, Ashlyn yelled out:
Ashlyn: go to your spot!
Mama : hun??!! ??!! ??!!

10 seconds later, I realized, she probably learn from school. Her teachers probably asked the other kids to go to their spot (mat) during their nap time.

What did Alex learn?
Out of the blue, Alex stood up from the bed, pulling his pants.
Mama: Alex, don’t pull your pants.
Alex: Mama, I pee standing up today (gesturing as he speaks)
Mama: really? who taught you?
Alex: teachers lor. I didn’t pee on the floor, I pee into the toilet bowl.

Remember I said I would show you what I purchased from the 1st round of Black Friday shopping spree? My dear model finally willing to entertain me and model my “prize” for me.

Voila!

As you an see, my dear model was busy booking other jobs.

Let me tell you a littel about this “prize” of mine. I got it from VS store. Why? cux I wanted to take some pictures of Ashlyn with Santa hat for the holidays. When I saw it, I knew it was perfect and no doubt she would wear it, cux it’s pink and has bling bling. As I walked in, I saw it displayed with other Christmas attire in pink, obviously. I thought, no worry, there’re at least 5 of them, just let me think about it. 1.5 hours later, went back to VS, there was only 1 left. Without any hesitation, I grabbed it and stood in line. You may asked how long I was in line for? Well, 45 mins I guess. Could be shorter if the lady in front of me could make up her mind how she wanted to pay, and if other ladies didn’t have to split her $180 purchases into 3 different transactions, so that she could get 3 sets of free gifts.

So, what happened for our 2nd round of Black Friday shopping spree? Well, let me back track a little. During our Thanksgiving dinner, mother in law all the sudden told dear hubby that she wanted to buy a 32inch flat screen TV, and that’s the only reason why my dear hubby would get up in the wee hours, other than feeding our babies during the first couple of months of their births.

Dear hubby set the alarm clock for 5am, but his coworker’s wife called him by mistake at 3am. He figured, he’s already up, just go and check out Fry’s. He took a shower, got there around 4am. He saw people in lines around the building, but couldn’t see the end of the line until he decided to leave. The end of the line was outside the parking lot. He didn’t even bother to park. Almost 5am, this time his coworker, the husband called, asked dear hubby if he would like anything from Target. Once again, dear hubby decided to go Fry’s again. This time, no lines outside. So off he went, inside the store. Obviously many people lined up for the cashier. As he walked towards to end of the building to the TV department, he saw people waiting in line in between the aisle. As he described, not 1 or 2 aisle, it’s throughout the store. He manged to get to the TV area, and asked the sales guy if they had any of the particular model in stock. The sales guy didn’t know, hubby asked the stock people. ALL OUT! Zilch, Nada, Zip, NOTHING LEFT!

So, what happened at the end? He went home and slept until 8am, cux I called.

O, he went back the 3rd time with a friend in the evening around 5pm, they turned around as soon as they got off the freeway.

Our garage floor needs a makeover, needs new garage flooring now. My aunt’s car is old, manufactured in the 70’s, probably older than me, but still running. However, motor oil drips everywhere she parks. The garage floor is spotty, oil stain everywhere. What color of the diamond garage flooring should we choose, or should we pick smooth garage floor tile? Or maybe we should get the garage floor coating. Time for more shopping!

Today, we should celebrate. What for? You may ask? Well, for Ashlyn & Alex actually enjoyed school today. Yippie!

After a long weekend, I was worried that today would be a difficult drop off for Ashlyn & Alex. Ashlyn cried a little bit in the morning at home, but Alex still had no clue what was going on. Soon after we got into the car, and reasoned to her, she began to show Alex what a big sister she is, cux Alex realized we were sending them to school.

Ashlyn kept on telling Alex, “don’t worry, Baba & Mama will come pick us up later. When you wake up from your nap, and after you have diaper changed, Baba & Mama will be picking us up, don’t worry, no need to fear.” Today, Ashlyn really showed us that she accepted the fact that she needed to go to school, at least that what I believed to be, or hope to be.

The drop off for Ashlyn wasn’t as difficult as I have anticipated to be, maybe I expected the worse, it turned out to be OK, well, better than OK. Ashlyn still wasn’t ready to play with other kids in the playground, but Ms. Meagan asked her for a hug, she was willing to hug her, and of course, that’s when I kissed her goodbye and told her I will be back soon to pick her up. She didn’t cry, not even a tear.

Alex, I wasn’t sure, cux Baba dropped him off. I guess I need to update that part later.

From the IPTV today, both Ashlyn & Alex engaged in group activities, and Ashlyn told me tonight that they sang songs during circle time. She cut paper with sciossors, and my aunt told me when she picked her up, Ashlyn didn’t want to go, cux she hasn’t finished with her craft project (scissor cutting). As for Alex, he enjoyed the playing playdoh with Ms. Sally and the kids.

Don’t you think we should celebrate this big improvement? So proud of you Ashlyn & Alex!
