Alex deserves some praise this morning. Drop off for this morning was smooooooooth. No tears, no more “I don’t want to go to school”.
I handed him his sippy cup in the car, he carried it to his classroom. As soon as he walked in and saw Ms. Viviana, he handed her the sippy cup, by himself, I didn’t even tell him to do so. I took off his jacket, that’s usually when he started to cry a bit, but this morning, he didn’t. I must give Ms. Viviana some credits too. She distracted Alex by telling him his shoes (Mickey Crocs) were cute, and compared her shoes with his. All the other boys (total 13 boys, no girls in 1 classroom), gathered around. Then she took out the Lego blocks. As soon as Alex saw the Lego blocks, he stormed over, sat down and started to play with other boys. That’s when I knew I could go.
