Need Backup Batteries?

My lunch buddy, Vivien, has been looking for Dell laptop batteries as a backup for her Dell Inspiron 6000, which is an obsolete model, for a long time.

I came across this online shop, Allbatts.com, as I was searching for a backup battery for my digital video camcorder and my new digital camera, I was surprised to find they carry a wide selection of batteries for laptops, desktop computers, PDA, and even batteries for power tools. Which really surprised me was that they also carry cellular phone batteries for Motorola StarTac series, which was a popular model in the 90’s.

Hey Vivien, check them out, you’ll find your batteries, and they carry chargers, AC adapters, and other accessories for your Inspiron 6000 too.

Great Deal!

Elaine told me on Friday afternoon that Old Navy was having a sale. I was thinking, Old Navy had sale everyday, and I checked the website, didn’t really interest me, so I didn’t really pay attention to the price.

I decided to go shopping Friday after work, cux I needed to get a few birthday gifts for my cousins and my nieces, so I went Valley Fair Mall, my all time favorite shopping mall. People who are familiar with the mall, the Macy’s women’s section is located on one end, and the Men’s and Home section is located on the other end. Walking from one end to the other, without going into any of the stores, just straight walking, would probably take10-15 mins. I shopped and walked all the way from the Women’s end (where I parked), to the men’s section (where ON is located). Went into ON, saw they had signs saying “up to 75% off original price after 50% off the lowest ticketed price”, all over the store. *DING!* *DING!”* My eyes just became wide opened, and I spent just about $38. Yeah Yeah Yeah, $38 no big deal. Listen to this, or better yet, take a look at what I got.

1. Men’s long sleeves puffy jacket * 2pcs (final price @ $12.50)
2. Women’s sleeveless puffy vest jacket * 4pcs (final price @ $6.50)
3. Women’s Sleeveless Velvet puffy vest jacket with hood and faux fur trim * 1pc (final price @ $9.98)

Remember, all these items originally priced at $60-70 per piece. With the gift certificates from credit card, all I paid was less than $38 for all those jackets.

I got the red one for Grandma, but it was too small, so I went back the 2nd round on Saturday morning, and got her the size she needs. Obviously, I shopped more.

I was so excited that I found some good deals on Friday night, and knowing Vivien was going to take her visitor to shopping at the Great Mall, I just had to call her while I was driving home. Even she could tell I was excited about my shopping trip.

Oh, you noticed I didn’t buy anything for my 2 little rascals? How could I not? I got them some goodies during my trip #2 and #3. Ha Ha Ha!!

Happy Shopping!

xoxo

Crazy Friday

Last Friday was soooo C-R-A-Z-Y !!

Remember I went shopping at H&M with my cousin Kimberly? I didn’t mention how crazy the shopping experience was, hun? If you remembered, we got lucky and got a parking spot as soon as we got into the 3-level parking garage, as many cars still circling around in the parking lot.

The target of the shopping trip was H&M. We walked in, not that many people. I thought it would have been flooded with people. Clothes was still pretty nicely folded on display tables and hung on display racks, not messy at all. People were not too crazily grabbing anything they could get their hands on. The line for the cashier was acceptable, and with 4 cash registers, the line was moving in a considerable fast rate. With all that said, have you noticed I left over something? The fitting room. Ladies were in line for the fitting room. From what we could see, there were 10 ladies in line. Then we found out, inside the fitting room area, there were benches and 4 to 5 more ladies seating inside waiting. There were 4 regular size stall and 1 handicap stall. Every ladies had at least 7 items in hand. It took a while, about 20 minutes or so.

After that, we went dinner at Maggiano Little Italy. This restaurant was known for long wait, even if you have made reservations. We thought, table for 2 should be fast. Guess what?

Me: table for 2 please.
Reception: there is a 2 hour wait.
Me: 2 hour? eerrrhhh…. (looked at my cousin)
Reception: but if you can find an open table here in the bar, you can still order from our menu. Table is first come first serve.
Me: OK. Thank you. (looked at my cousin again)

Both of us looking around to find open table as we were walking away from the reception area. I saw a table right next to the reception area, kind of occupied. 4 people gathered around the table, with empty glasses on the table, 2 of the 3 chairs were not taken. I looked at those people as I walked away. Then I turned back and looked at them again as I took another steps. I probably repeated the same move 2 or 3 times. The lady who was sitting in the chair got up, finally, I raced to the table and sat down. Got a table less than a minute. Wasn’t that crazy??

We had a pretty satisfying meal and great desert (to go too)!

Yum… yum… good!

Mystery Package

I just received a package. I looked at the shipper’s name and address, and couldn’t remember I had made a purchase from them. It is a relatively small package, but quite heavy. I remember making a few online purchases, but none of them should come in a small box like this. There’s one package that I was expecting, but the scheduled delivery should be tomorrow. Oh well, I just opened it. Took out the air cushion packaging filler, remove the package slip. Voila!!

YES! It’s my X’mas gift from dear hubby. Another Casio Digital Camera. Yippy!! Oh wait, a dilemma. Should I go home and wrap it up? or should I test drive this little puppy? huumm….

Bargain Shopping

Yesterday was the first day of friends and family sales at H&M. My dear friend Elaine reminded me in the afternoon, after she raided the H&M in the city after lunch. She got a full length coat at 50% off plus the F&F discount 25% on top. She got couple of sweaters for her hubby and couple of tops for herself, average $25 a piece.

I couldn’t believe it. So, I IM’ed my cousins and asked if they’re interested. Cousin Kim was all up for it, so we went right after work. We got lucky, we found a parking space when we got there, so didn’t waste anytime.

Elaine was right, the full length coat was cheap. I got couple of items, and the coat was under $40.

I finally shopped at the new H&M in my area. I’m looking for the H&M opening in a week even closer to my home.

Power Tools for Christmas

What to give to the professional relatives and friends for Christmas? I am talking about those who use power tools day and night. It is always the difficult question to answer. For some reasons, most of them do not agree with what we picked out for them, most of the time. I guess we should give them some manly man items, such as high tech gadgets, anything automotive related, shavers, or power tools.

I have two uncles are electricians. Husband of a good friend of mine, and my father in-law are in the constructions contractors business. I believe power tools is a good choice for them this Christmas.

What are some of the Bosch Power Tools made my holiday gift list? Boash Jig Saw and Hand Router? Humm.. This one can be used at home too. Bosch Laser Ranger Finder, or the Bosch 10.8V cordless pocket driver? Humm.. I think we should get one for ourselves too. Oh, the Bosch Cordless Batteries & Chargers can come in handy when in need.

WOW, there are just too many goodies at Ohio Power Tools. Hop over and check them out. They are very knowledgeable about their products, and they also service and repair everything they sell.
